Developing Independent Learning in a Caring Environment

Reception - Miss Slater and Mrs Cartlidge

Rease heath Farm Trip, Nantwich.

Spring Term.

This term so far have been packed with exciting experiences and themed days for our Foundation children to enjoy.

Our first topic, 'Traditional Tales' explored the story of Cinderella in which the children enjoyed acting out and retelling the story. This then moved into out whole school focus on 'Romeo and Juliet'. The children embraced their first encounter with William Shakespeare's work finishing the topic on a high with their magnificent contribution to the whole school promenade.

We hope you enjoyed our 'secret wedding' scene as much as the children enjoyed creating it.

Thank you for your continued support with their love of learning.

A sneak peek at our wonderful Christmas themed trip- 'Food Glorious Food' at Tatton Park.

Children in Need!

Thank you for your support for our 'Spotty Children in Need Day' this year. As a school we raised £363.00 for Children in Need.

The children as well as the Early Years Team enjoyed the day full of creative activities.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Our Harvest Tea

We thoroughly enjoyed the role of making sandwiches and decorating biscuits ready for our 'Harvest Tea'.

The children were very proud of their creations and we hope you enjoyed helping them eat them as well.

We wanted our Harvest Tea to be a community celebration to enjoy with our family and school friends.

The Early Years Team would like to thank you for all of your support with our Harvest Tea. We very much enjoyed teaching you our Harvest songs.

Our Autumn Term

The children in RS have continued to settle into school beautifully and we are very proud of their achievements so far this term.

We have enjoyed themed days such as our 'Elmer Day' in which the children created and showcased their Elmer T-shirts and masks and paraded in a celebration around the whole school. This was  a wonderful occasion for the children to see their fellow pupils as they joined in with songs and dances alongside with them.

The children have enjoyed learning about Elmer and how it is good to be different and unique surrounded by the theme of 'All About me'.

Autumn Topic Leaflet RS

RS have just finished their first week in school and have been fabulous. Miss Slater and Mrs Ellis are very proud of how the children have settled into school and captured the daily routines already. Well done RS!

We are looking forward to having a fantastic year with you all and will be posting some photos very soon.

We have already had lots of fun in our indoor and outdoor classroom surrounding our current topic 'all about me'. We are enjoying looking at the exciting range of Elmer books to inspire our learning.
